Working Collaboratively

I am a Registered Nurse and I work in Home Health (formally Home and Community Care). My main job is to run an outpatient clinic. The people I serve mainly come in with injuries to their limbs or serious skin infections. One of the first questions I ask is "When was your last tetanus shot?" If they answer is "I don't know" or "Many years ago", I immediately call up one of my Public Health Nurse colleagues. We are conveniently located down the hall from each other. After I explain the situation of my client, they are always ready and willing to immunize my clients after I have treated them. This is a huge benefit to our clients as they can get all their treatment at the same time and at the same place. 

I am proud to be on such a great team who works well together and puts our client's needs first!
